"Sunflowers with Butterfly" by Patti Deters. A yellow tiger swallowtail butterfly (Papilio canadensis) is enjoying a huge field of sunflowers as she works hard at foraging and pollinating. She flits and flies from one flower to another enjoying the nectar of all the bright yellow blossoms of these wildflowers. Hi! My artwork is photography of all things nature, especially wildlife, flowers, and landscapes. Many of the flowers and wildlife images are from my local area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Others are from photo trips taken with my husband of 40+ years. Some of the images are what I like to call "documentary art" - that is, I capture the best photos from wherever I am and then enhance them - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - to make my own kind of "real life" art. Other images are more digital and simple, and those tend to portray the softer side of nature.
